Petrol and diesel prices yet again shot up across India on Saturday, February 27, after a gap of three days. In Delhi, petrol has increased by 24 paise following which its rate has climbed to Rs 91.17 per litre. On the other hand, the cost of one litre of diesel has risen by 15 paise, taking the latest price of the fuel to Rs 81.47 per litre.

Petrol, Diesel Prices Today: Petrol and diesel prices touched record all-time highs across the four metros on Saturday, February 20, after oil marketing companies increased the prices for twelve days in a row. In Delhi, the price of petrol was hiked by 39 paise from Rs 90.19 per litre to Rs 90.58 per litre, and diesel was increased by 37 paise from Rs 80.60 per litre to Rs 80.97 per litre, according to Indian Oil Corporation, the country s largest fuel retailer. Meanwhile, in Mumbai, the revised petrol and diesel rates stood at Rs 97.00 per litre and Rs 88.06 per litre respectively. Currently, the fuel rates are the highest in Mumbai, among the four metro cities. (
Congress MP Shashi Tharoor tweeted the cartoon on Tuesday

Congress MP Shashi Tharoor tweeted a cartoon of yoga guru Baba Ramdev on Tuesday evening to take a swipe at the centre over soaring petrol and diesel prices.
The cartoon showed Baba Ramdev in a headstand pose at a fuel station, while looking at a placard with the text Litre Rs 90 written on it. The image also contains a caption in Malayalam, which Mr Tharoor translated and posted with his tweet.
