RAPID CITY, S.D. – One man is deceased as the result of a deputy-involved shooting following an unwanted subject call at a residence near the intersection of Radar Hill Road and Morris Lane Friday afternoon.
Pennington County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a call to remove an intoxicated and out-of-control family member from a Rapid Valley residence. At about 3:25 pm on May 14, multiple Deputies were confronted by a male subject carrying a long gun. The male levelled the gun in the direction of people on scene and ignored commands to drop the gun. A deputy-involved shooting occurred and the man died from injuries. No law enforcement or bystanders were hurt during the situation.

PIEDMONT, S.D. Law enforcement agencies are responding to reports of a barricaded person near Sacora Station Campground in the 14000 block of Sturgis Road in Meade County.
Meade County Sheriff’s Office, Pennington County Sheriff’s Office, and a Special Response Team are on scene.
