Police say man sent nude photos of woman to others and made threats to kill her

IDAHO FALLS Police say a Boise man allegedly sent a nude photograph of a woman to others then told her that he hired a hitman to kill her and others.
Javier Escobedo-Padilla, 40, is charged with felony video voyeurism, first-degree stalking and intimidating a witness. According to an affidavit of probable cause, investigators had frequent contacts with Escobedo-Padilla from a series of incidents involving the victim through the summer and fall of 2020.
On Nov. 21, 2020, the victim visited the Idaho Falls Police station to file a harassment complaint. Officers reviewed Facebook messages Escobedo-Padilla allegedly sent to three people threatening to burn their homes down, kill them and send nude photos of the victim to others. At one point, police say Escobedo-Padilla sent messages that he hired someone to kill them.

IDAHO FALLS Prosecutors charged a Rexburg man as an adult for an alleged rape committed when he was 16.
Alonzo Padilla, 18, pleaded not guilty to a felony rape charge on Monday. According to an affidavit of probable cause, Bonneville County Sheriff detectives were told by the victim that Padilla raped her multiple times while they were on a date in June 2019.
The victim described in graphic detail various sexual acts Padilla forced her to do as she said no. Between the alleged rapes, Padilla drove the car to new locations and during the sexual assaults, the victim reported she either passed or blacked out. Padilla drove the girl home following the encounter, according to the probable cause.

IONA Deputies arrested an Iona man who they say tried to cover up a child pornography habit.
Marco Antonio Hernandez-Maldonado, 26, is charged with felony child pornography and felony destruction of evidence.
The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office began investigating him after a woman discovered his search history and contacted authorities, according to an affidavit of probable cause obtained by EastIdahoNews.com.
In October 2020, Hernandez-Maldonado arrived at the Bonneville County Courthouse and told investigators that while surfing the internet for car parts, he received an “FBI warning box” on his phone stating there is pornography on it. Hernandez-Maldonado denied searching for the sexually exploitive images and he gave his phone to deputies.

AMMON â The Bonneville County Sheriffâs Office has identified the suspect and two deputies who were involved in a deadly shooting Wednesday morning in Ammon.
Peter Kerry England, 21, of Ammon, was shot and killed in an apartment complex parking lot after he reportedly pointed a gun at deputy Cooper Merrill and Sgt. Dino Vidal.
Both deputies have been placed on administrative leave while the incident is investigated by the East Idaho Critical Incident Task Force.

According to a sheriffâs office news release, the incident started when an Idaho Falls Police Department officer responded to reports of a suspicious driver. When the officer attempted to perform a traffic stop, the driver, later identified as England, attempted to elude the officer.
