Sushant Singh Rajput s friend and an assistant director named Rishikesh Pawar has been detained by Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) for questioning. NCB had first mentioned back in September 2020. As per ANI, On May 1, Showik Chakraborty (Rhea Chakraborty s brother) asked Dipesh Sawant (Sushant s house help) to receive ganja from a person called Dwayne. After which Dipesh received 50-gram charas from Dwayne the next day, according to NCB.
The NCB further said that in the first week of June, Dipesh received 100-gram ganja from a delivery boy named Rishikesh Pawar. A court had sent Dipesh Sawant to the Narcotics Control Bureau s custody till September 9, 2020. Narcotics Control Bureau seized mephedrone worth Rs 15 lakh in Mahim on Monday night.
Based on the information received, the NCB conducted a raid on a flat in Mahim and apprehended three persons.
A commercial quantity of mephedrone, a banned drug also knows as meow-meow or MD, valued at around Rs 15 lakh was seized during the raid, an NCB official said.
The investigating agency is trying to find out the source of the drug and to whom it was to be supplied.

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Tuesday detained assistant film director Rishikesh Pawar in connection with the drugs case linked to the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput last year.
Questioning of Pawar is underway at the NCB s office, he said.
The name of Pawar, who was a friend of the late actor, had cropped up during interrogation of other accused arrested earlier in the case, he said. Pawar was detained by the Mumbai zonal team of the NCB after various summons were issued to him, the official added.

The NCB officer further stated that gangster Chinku Pathan was arrested after a substantial quantity of Mephedrone (MD) drugs were recovered during raids in Dongri area of Mumbai.

MUMBAI: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Tuesday evening arrested assistant film director Rishikesh Pawar in connection with a drugs case linked to the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, an official said.
The official said that Pawar was detained by the NCB in the morning and he was arrested following questioning. NCB zonal director Sameer Wankhede said that the name of Pawar, who was a friend of the late actor, had cropped up during interrogation of other accused arrested earlier in the case.
According to investigators, the reason for the Andhra-Odisha border becoming a ganja producing hub is mainly due to the terrain and Maoist problem in the region.
HYDERABAD: Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) sleuths said that ganja from Andhra Pradesh is being supplied to peddlers across the country, apart from also being smuggled to Sri Lanka.
In the third week of January, NCB sleuths arrested four peddlers at Ghatkesar while they were trying to peddle 212kg ganja sourced from agency areas in Andhra Pradesh and erstwhile Warangal district to Pune and Mumbai.
During the interrogation of the kingpin Ganesh Gavane, who was also wanted in 955kg ganja seizure case of August 2020 the NCB team found out that the ganja from agency areas in Andhra Pradesh is being supplied to peddlers in India and Sri Lanka.
