Four including former Maldivian State Minister arrested Daily News (via HT Media Ltd.) According to Maldivian media reports, the Sri Lanka Police and the Maldives Embassy in Sri Lanka have confirmed that the Maldivian arrested in connection with the incident pertaining to the sexual exploitation of a 15-year-old child in Sri Lanka, is a former State Minister of Finance in the Maldives. The 45-year-old Maldivian politician, Mohamed Ashmalee, is currently in Police custody. Ashmalee, along with the other three suspects, were remanded until July 16 and were ordered to be produced for an identification parade on the same day. Another four persons, including another Maldivian national have been arrested on Sunday in connection with the online trafficking of a 15-year-old girl.
