Princess Alexandra Hospital Fewer patients visited A&E at the Princess Alexandra Hospital last month – and attendances were lower than in November last year, figures reveal. NHS England figures show 7,990 patients visited A&E at The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust in November. That was a drop of 6 per cent on the 8,506 visits recorded during October, and 17 per cent lower than the 9,622 patients seen in November the previous year. All of last month s attendances were via major A&E departments – those with full resuscitation equipment and 24-hour consultant-led care. Across England, A&E departments received 1.5 million visits last month.

The data shows that the number of people being treated in hospital for Covid-19 by 8am on December 15 was up from 60 on the same day the previous week. The number of beds at The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust occupied by people who tested positive for Covid-19 more than doubled in the last four weeks – 28 days ago, there were 37.

TWO men accused of being involved in a shooting which saw a teenage girl almost lose her left hand, have had their court case adjourned until next year.
The case involving Jordan Close and Brody Roberts has been adjourned until February 10, 2021 for charge certification.
Mr Close, 22, and Mr Roberts, 24, have been accused of being involved in a shooting which saw an a 19-year old girl almost lose her left hand due to the damage.
The Director of Public Prosecutions told the court that discussions were ongoing with Mr Close, 22, and a deal had been offered.
Police allege that Mr Close shot the woman in her left hand while they were travelling at Lillian Rock on April 19.

Man critical after car reverses over him at party A man has been critically injured after he was reversed over by a car at a party in Logan. The driver is in hospital with facial injuries.

Police confirmed a man was reportedly intoxicated while in his car and reversed over another man who was on the ground at a party on Kingston Road in Kingston at 2:20am. The man was treated by paramedics at the scene and taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition with serious internal injuries.
