Paccor adds to DuoSmart packaging solutions for dairy Paccor is adding new products to its DuoSmart range, with the launch of RecycleDuo and new DuoSmart solutions with rPET (recycled polyethylene terephthalate) or foamed PP (polypropylene) inlets.
RecycleDuo does not use glue, which allows consumers to separate the plastic inlet and the cardboard segment more easily without any paper remains on the plastic cup, which improves recyclability.
The new DuoSmart with rPET inlet is in response to the market request for an increase in recycled content.
DuoSmart with foamed PP inlet features up to 16% less CO
2 emissions, and 15% less plastic compared to the production of traditional DuoSmart cups.
Bakers set to unleash their widest designs with extended capabilities of Eddie
Eddie can produce new profits for bakeries. Pic: DTM Print German OEM specialist DTM Print has unveiled a manual feed option, along with custom food trays, for Eddie, the world’s first-and-only NSF and GMP-certified edible ink desktop printer for printing directly onto cookies.
Unlike printers that print on wafer paper or icing sheets that are then glued onto baked goods, Eddie prints directly onto items like cookies, biscuits, candy, chocolate and marshmallows that have a maximum diameter of 89mm and 202-25mm height.
The manual mode extends these parameters to 120mm x 120mm and allows thicker items with a maximum height of 27mm. This is especially important for printing on macarons, which – because of all their parts (a soft filling sandwich between two meringue-based halves) – are typically too high to be printed with the automatic feed.
