Mumbai: Maharashtra Congress chief Nana Patole has threatened to stop the shooting of films of popular Bollywood actors like Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay Kumar in the state. Speaking to reporters, Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee president said these actors used to tweet against the previous UPA regime when fuel prices used to be hiked but are silent when the price of petrol has touched Rs 100 in the country.

Days after he took over as the Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president, Nana Patole, on Tuesday, said the party is all geared up to contest the elections alone to the Indiaâs richest civic body, the BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). A meeting of the Congress party was held to decide the strategy regarding the BMC elections. The party held discussions on strengthening the organisation in each ward. Congress is ready to fight for all the 227 seats of the corporation on its own, said Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee President Nana Patole, a party officer bearer said.
