EDWARDSVILLE A Wood River woman faces multiple drug and weapons charges, as departments around the county continue filing new cases accumulated throughout the year.
Helen R. Parker, 46, identified as homeless out of Wood River, was charged Jan. 29 with unlawful possession of methamphetamine, a Class 2 felony, as well as two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, and aggravated unlawful use of a weapons, all Class 4 felonies.
The case was presented by the Madison County Sheriff’s Department.
According to court documents, on Jan. 28 Parker allegedly was found to be in possession of between five and 15 grams of methamphetamine, less than 15 grams each of hydrocodone and ecstasy, and an immediately-accessible stun gun in a vehicle. Bail was set at $30,000.

EDWARDSVILLE Felony criminal charges recently filed by the Madison County State’s Attorney’s Office include:
• Zachary Spiroff, 29, of Godfrey, was charged Jan. 27 with aggravated driving under the influence while license revoked/suspended, a Class 4 felony. The case was presented by the Illinois State Police. According to court documents, on Jan. 26 Spiroff was found to be driving a Nissan Maxima while under the influence of alcohol, and had a suspended license. Bail was set at $15,000.
• Samuel Simpson Jr., 39, of St. Louis, was charged Jan. 28 with burglary, a Class 3 felony. The case was presented by the Edwardsville Police Department. According to court documents, on June 3 Simpson broke in to the Verizon Wireless store at 6695 Edwardsville Crossing Drive, Edwardsville, to commit theft. Bail was set at $15,000.

EDWARDSVILLE An Alton man was charged Thursday with possession of methamphetamine and Alprazolam with intent to deliver.
Jayson A. Bull, 40, was charged Jan. 28 with unlawful possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, a Class X felony; and unlawful possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, a Class 3 felony.
The case was presented by the Alton Police Department.
According to court documents, on Jan. 27 Bull was found to be in possession of more than 15 grams of methamphetamine, and Alprazolam, with intent to deliver.
Bail was set at $50,000.

EDWARDSVILLE Multiple domestic battery cases stemming from separate incidents were filed Jan. 27 by the Madison County State’s Attorney’s Office.
Anthony M. McMoore, 31, of Alton, was charged with aggravated domestic battery, a Class 2 felony, and domestic battery (second subsequent offense), a Class 4 felony. The case was presented by the Alton Police Department.
According to court documents, on Nov. 12 McMoore allegedly “caused great bodily harm” to a family or household member while parked outside of a residence on Brown Street. He allegedly struck the victim in the face, knocking out one of her teeth. He is also alleged to have attacked the victim in the Upper Alton Cemetery. It was noted that he has a prior conviction for aggravated battery.

• Austin R. Davis, 22, of Pocahontas, was charged Jan. 25 with aggravated battery, a Class 2 felony. The case was presented by the Madison County Sheriff’s Department. According to court documents, on Jan. 24 Davis elbowed a sheriff’s deputy in the neck/chest. Bail was set at $40,000.
• Danyelle M. Price, 21, of Glen Carbon, was charged Jan. 25 with unlawful possession of methamphetamine, a Class 3 felony. The case was presented by the Madison County Sheriff’s Department. According to court documents, on Jan. 23 Price was found to be in possession of less than five grams of methamphetamine. Bail was set at $15,000.
