State Patrol: Semi driver shoots himself during traffic stop in Rochester, Minnesota

ROCHESTER, Minn. (FOX 9) - Authorities are investigating after a semi-truck driver reportedly died by suicide during a traffic stop in Rochester, Minnesota Wednesday morning.
According to the State Patrol, three troopers assigned to the commercial vehicle unit stopped a semi-truck for a vehicle inspection around 6:45 a.m. About an hour and 45 minutes later, when the troopers tried to detain the driver in the Miracle Mile shopping center parking lot for failing to produce identification, the truck driver took out a gun and shot himself in the head twice.

ELK RIVER, Minn. Late Wednesday night the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) said a man reported missing on Wednesday afternoon has been found and is safe.
Roberto Sobalvarro was located in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. No other details have been released by police about the 93-year-old man, but the Big Lake police department is thanking the public for their help in finding him.
The BCA said on Wednesday that Sobalvarro was last seen in the Elk River area, and had been missing since around noon.
According to the BCA, Sobalvarro has dementia and has no cell phone. His direction of travel was unknown.

FOUND: Man, 93, with dementia last seen driving to Elk River

BIG LAKE, Minn. (FOX 9) - A missing 93-year-old man, who has dementia, missing out of Big Lake, has been found safe.
Roberto Sobalvarro was last seen Wednesday at noon on his way to Elk River, Minnesota. He was found in Stevens Point, Wisconsin Wednesday night.
MOORHEAD (KFGO) – A murder investigation is underway in Moorhead.
Police say a man driving a taxi-mini van was found dead in the driver’s seat near the railroad tracks in the 3000 block of 20th St. S at around 3:30 Wed. morning.
Police say the Doyle Checker cab van appears to have been headed east when it went over the road and crossed the railroad tracks. The van came to a stop on the east side of the 20th St. tracks. The driver had suspicious injuries. No one else was found at the scene.
Moorhead Police, The Clay County Sheriff’s Office and Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension are investigating.
