First Class Erin Tilford has served with the Minnesota National Guard for 12 years as a Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) Specialist with the 434th Chemical Company out of Hastings, Minnesota. Tilford, originally from Dover, Minnesota, is gearing up to deploy with her unit later this year. This will be her second deployment overseas and she is excited to deploy again while getting to know her soldiers and taking care of them. “I enjoy being part of the team and the camaraderie,” said Tilford. “I’ve always liked getting to know everyone. My big thing is taking care of soldiers, making sure they know what they’re doing and that the missions get accomplished.”

Peace And Stability Critical For Our Development – President Akufo-Addo

  President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on Tuesday said the large investments in equipping the country’s security services was inspired by the recognition that peace and stability were critical for national development. He said the security services had been retooled and re-equipped substantially under his administration to ensure development. Delivering the State of the Nation Address (SONA) in Parliament, President Akufo-Addo said the first four units of four storey blocks of 16 flats under the Barracks Regeneration Project had been commissioned, and the remaining part of a 40, 2-bedroom self-contained accommodation units for the Six-Battalion of Infantry and AirBorne Force, in Tamale, had also been completed.
