More than 100 family members and friends of two cousins, 19-year-old Travis Parham Jr. and 42-year-old Wallace Walo Morris gathered in an office park parking lot on Walnut Grove Road to pay tribute to the two men.
Both Parham Jr. and Morris were killed Friday after authorities say an off-duty Memphis Police Department officer, Antonio Marshall, 27, slammed into the driver s side of the Pontiac Bonneville driven by Parham.
Parham was attempting to turn on Walnut Grove Road when Marshall s 2019 Dodge Charger struck the vehicle with enough force to split the Pontiac into two pieces. Both Parham and Morris were ejected from the vehicle and were pronounced dead on the scene by first responders. A third vehicle was also impacted.
