Talking to reporters after a group of protesting people blocked the way of his cavalcade, Dhankhar targeted Mamata Banerjee-led state government over what he described as total collapse of rule of law . This is total collapse of rule of law. I could have never imagined this. I have seen the fear of Police in the eyes of the people, they are scared to go to Police, their houses were looted. I m really shocked, this is destruction of democracy, he said.

NEW DELHI: The government panel, National Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (NTAGI) said those who recovered from Covid-19 should wait for six months before getting vaccinated.
The panel also recommended the gap between Covidshield doses be increased to 12-16 weeks.
While pregnant women may be offered the choice to take any Covid-19 vaccine while lactating women are eligible for jabs any time after childbirth.

COOCH BEHAR: West Bengal governor Jagdeep Dhankhar was on Thursday shown black flags at Sitalkuchi, where five persons died on election day, when he went there to visit people allegedly affected in post poll violence.
Dhankhar, whose visit to Cooch Behar was roundly criticised by chief minister Mamata Banerjee, was shown black flags by some people at Golokganj as his convoy travelled from Mathabhanga to Sitalkuchi though a posse of policemen put up a human wall to prevent protesters from coming down on the road.
