Monmouth County Prosecutor Chris Gramiccioni announced Wednesday that Joseph Lyons, 36, has also been charged with one count of second degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and one count of second degree unlawful possession of weapon.
Two men were found suffering from gunshot wounds around 8:00 pm on March 30 and were taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries and later released from medical care.

A 36-year-old Monmouth County man has been charged with two counts of attempted murder after shooting two men outside an apartment building in Freehold Borough last month, authorities said
Joseph Lyons, of Ocean Township, was arrested with the help of the United States Marshals Regional Task Force and sent to to the Monmouth County jail, the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office said Wednesday.
The shooting took place about 8 p.m. on March 30 outside The Continental at Freehold, an affordable-housing building on Jackson Street, close to downtown Freehold Borough. Both victims were taken to a local hospital, where they were treated for injuries not considered life-threatening and released.

A Middlesex County man was charged Thursday with using the address of his Monmouth County business to vote in that county’s general elections over the course of five years, authorities said.
Steven Solop, 67, of Woodbridge was charged with fraudulent voting, interference with election and false registration, the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office announced Friday.
Between October 2015 and November 2019, Solop voted at the Highlands Borough polling stations in New Jersey State General Elections, the office alleged.
Solop registered to vote in Monmouth County citing his business address on Bay Avenue in Highlands Borough as his primary residence, but was not entitled to vote in Monmouth County elections as his primary residence is in Middlesex County, officials said.
