20-year-old charged with attempted murder in stabbing of 2 outside N.J. school
Updated Mar 10, 2021;
Jadon Carter, of Asbury Park, is charged with two counts of attempted murder and a related weapons offenses, the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office said Wednesday
Carter was taken into custody shortly after the 3:40 p.m. attack, which unfolded after a dispute in school between two students, officials said. He remains held at the Monmouth County jail in Freehold Township, according to jail records.
“It appears that the disagreement between the students continued after school was dismissed for the day and that an individual, who is not an Asbury Park student, may have provided a weapon to one of the students after dismissal, outside of the school building,” the district’s Tuesday statement said.
