A 25-year-old man was arraigned Tuesday in the fatal shooting of Cedric Black at a memorial site in New Brighton. Tyler Carmon, of Manor Road in Castleton Corners, was arraigned in Criminal Court in St. George on charges that include murder and criminal possession of a weapon. He has been remanded to jail. Black, 34, was attending a memorial gathering on Jersey Street near Crescent Avenue on Sept. 15 in honor of a 21-year-old man in the neighborhood who suffered the same fate a day earlier.

St. Nick will be teaming up with NYPD Patrol Borough Staten Island officers to hand out toys to children throughout the Island on Tuesday. Two weeks later, Staten Island was under lockdown because of coronavirus and nothing has been the same since.
