At the same time, Staten Island’s coronavirus hospitalization count remained unchanged.
As of 1 p.m. Wednesday, 1,804 Staten Islanders are believed to have died from complications related to the coronavirus, according to the most recent data available.
Tuesday’s tally was 1,800.
In addition, 210 fatalities were in the “probable” category, the same figure as on Monday and Tuesday.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. Cops were seen surveying the scene after a car crashed into a building in New Brighton on Wednesday night.
A 911 call was made at 8:35 p.m. indicating that there was an accident on the corner of Jersey Street and Benziger Avenue, an NYPD representative told the Advance/SILive.com.
A car appeared to have crashed into the side of the Mt. Sinai Center for Community Enrichment.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. Police arrested a man in connection with a fatal shooting last December on a bustling commercial strip in Tompkinsville.
Brandon Rivera, 28, of the 400 block of Van Duzer Street, was apprehended on Monday in connection with the death of Joseph Evans, 22.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. Coronavirus (COVID-19) hospitalizations saw a slight uptick on Monday as three new deaths were recorded in the borough alongside an additional 67 cases.
There were 53 total COVID-19 patients being treated within Staten Island’s two hospital systems Monday, which represents a rise of four compared to Sunday’s total.
