This week at the Rural Ontario Municipalities Association Conference (ROMA), Ontario’s Deputy Premier and Minister of Health Christine Elliott learned about the value of the Renfrew County Triage and Assessment Centre (RCVTAC) to area residents.
Renfrew County Warden Debbie Robinson, Michael Donahue, chairman of the county health committee and Chief Paramedic Michael Nolan, met virtually with Elliott and Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke MPP John Yakabuski, minister of Natural Resources and Forestry, to discuss the need for ongoing support and funding for the highly successful RCVTAC model.

There are just four active cases of COVID-19 in Renfrew County and district, with all of the individuals self-isolating.
On Jan. 22, the Renfrew County and District Health Unit dashboard showed 291 of the total 297 cases in Renfrew County and district resolved. On Jan. 21, the RCDHU confirmed a second death in RCD as a result of COVID-19.

It’s been quite a news week and we are feeling a little scared regarding the happenings in the United States. Our prayers and thoughts are going out to our neighbours that all will be well and cool heads will prevail and everyone will be safe.
