Crosbyton man indicted on charge of online solicitation of a minor

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - Raymond Garza, 30, of Crosbyton has been indicted by a Lubbock County Grand Jury on a charge of online solicitation of a minor.
The police report says an officer participated in an undercover operation targeting the online solicitation of minors and prostitution.
The officer created an account portraying themselves as a 15-year-old female on the MeetMe app.
Garza was using the name Trey Static and contacted the undercover officer.
The undercover officer revealed to Garza that she was 15- years-old. According to the police report, Garza tried to get her to text him that she was 18, but then he texted her, “say no more I’ma pick you up later.”
Carlos Valdez, 38, of Lubbock has been indicted by a Lubbock County Grand Jury on a charge of abandoning and endangering a child with criminal neglect.

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - There are now two people who have been charged in connection to a shooting that happened on November 20, 2020 at 50th Street Caboose.
Edward Charles Schmittou, 35, of Wolfforth was arrested in Elizabethtown, Kentucky and transferred to the Lubbock County Detention Center, where he was booked on April 30, 2021. He has been charged with engaging in organized criminal activity, which is a first degree felony. He was previously indicted on the charge in January. He is reportedly a member of the Kinfolk gang.

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - Stephen Shellhammer, 44, of Lubbock has been indicted by a Lubbock County Grand Jury on a charge of aggravated sexual assault of a child.
According to the indictment, on Feb. 16, 2021, Shellhammer intentionally used a vibrator on the child who was 6-years-old.
The child told police Shellhammer told her that she could not tell anyone about what happened.
The report says he would make her touch him and he would touch her. Shellhammer made her watch pornography and assaulted her with a vibrator more than once.
