Only three paramedics went into the City Room on the night as the dying and injured were evacuated on crash barriers, noticeboards and tables, the public inquiry into the atrocity has heard.

Driver taken to hospital after Ramsbottom crash

Emergency services were called to a crash on a major road through Ramsbottom this morning. Police were called around 6.05 this morning to an accident involving two cars on the junction of Bolton Road West and Lumb Carr Road. The fire service said it was a relatively low speed collision, with no one having to be cut out of a vehicle. The ambulance service has confirmed that one woman, in her 30s, was taken to hospital with potential neck injuries. A Greater Manchester Police spokesman, said: Officers were called around 6.05am today (Thursday 13 May) to Lumb Carr Road, Ramsbottom to a report of a collision.
