The commonwealth receives approximately 100,000 doses per week, but the Biden Administration has indicated it will boost the weekly allotment to 122,000 doses per week.
Vaccines are now being distributed directly to local health departments, therefore hospitals aren’t receiving direct shipments. Due to this change, hospitals only have about 22,000 first doses after the weekly allotment was distributed by the health districts.
The total vaccine counts, along with other coronavirus-response data, are available on Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association’s dashboard.

The Virginia Department of Health released their daily updated numbers involving COVID-19 cases within the state.
According to their website, there are now 510,380 total cases, 408,421 of which are confirmed and 101,959 are probable. There are 6,517 total COVID-19 related deaths, with 5,684 being confirmed and 833 being probable. The case numbers are up by 2,740, and deaths are up by 43 since Monday.
A total of 5,281,726 COVID-19 PCR tests have now been given in Virginia.

According to their website, there are now 507,640 total cases, 406,591 of which are confirmed and 101,049 are probable. There are 6,474 total COVID-19 related deaths, with 5,666 being confirmed and 808 being probable. The case numbers are up by 2,861, and deaths are up by 10 since Sunday.
A total of 5,261,801 COVID-19 PCR tests have now been given in Virginia.

RICHMOND, Va. Nearly 190 additional COVID-19 patients have been discharged from Virginia hospitals in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association (VHHA).
The VHHA reports a total of 40,511 hospitalized COVID-19 patients have been discharged, an increase from 40,322 (+189) patients since Sunday s update.
Hospitalizations have decreased in Virginia over the last 24 hours.
There are currently 2,446 patients in hospitals who are either positive or whose test results are pending, down from 2,516 (-70) Sunday, according to the VHHA. Officials said 2,183 (-49) of those patients have COVID-19 while 263 (-21) have tests pending.
