The latest figures, announced by the NHS today (May 7), show no coronavirus related deaths in the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, and its total remains at 806. And there are no newly recorded deaths at Worcestershire Heath and Care NHS Trust, with its total remaining at 63. The total number of coronavirus related deaths in Worcestershire hospitals therefore remains at 869. In all settings, which includes care homes and hospices, the total stays at 1,354. The Acute Hospitals Trust covers Worcestershire Royal Hospital, as well as the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch and Kidderminster Hospital.

The case was prosecuted by John Brotherton. Pratt had conducted his down defence but barrister Jason Aris conducted the cross-examination on his behalf.

The multi-million pound work would see the relocation of the A&E department at Worcestershire Royal Hospital and the creation of a new ‘emergency village’ on the site.
