TV, but one that has had a lot more love, and community
spirit, put into it.
Hundreds of volunteer hours and
donated resources have transformed the rundown home from
completely unliveable, to warm, safe and dry.

Athenree man Allan Sole is no stranger to council chambers, having already served six years as Waihi Beach Community Board chairman. The return of Matakana Island s Panepane Point to five local hapū has proved a winning project for the Western Bay of Plenty District Council.
The council was awarded the top prize, the Local Government Supreme Award, at the 2021 LGFA Taituarā Local Government Excellence Awards last night, the council said in a statement.

A Bay of Plenty mayor says greater progress on the proposed Katikati bypass would be a better solution for State Highway 2 than speed reviews. Western Bay of Plenty District Council yesterday signed off on mayor Garry Webber s submission to Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency regarding State Highway 2 in and around Katikati.
