The Washington State Patrol (WSP) said the woman died from their injuries. According to the WSP, the man was driving westbound on SR 18 when the woman was pushed from the vehicle. The Washington State Department of Transportation first reported the incident near Issaquah Hobart Road around 11:40 p.m. Sunday.

The driver was arrested for vehicular homicide. She admitted to being distracted by her cell phone when she hit the person, according to Washington State Patrol (WSP) Trooper Robert Reyer. The incident happened on the right shoulder of I-5 on the collector-distributor section at South 38th Street, according to Reyer.

The fatal crash happened at 3:50 a.m. Friday. Washington State Patrol said a man was crossing the northbound lanes when he was hit and killed by two cars north of 70th Avenue East. He was pronounced dead at the scene. A second crash happened in the backup at 54th Avenue East involving three semi-trucks. One was carrying milk and cream, which spilled and needs to be cleaned up.
