A gazette stripping the awards from fugitives Shariful Haque Dalim, Risaldar Moslemuddin, M Rashed Chowdhury and SHMB Noor Chowdhury will be released in four or five days, said Minister of Liberation War Affairs AKM Mozammel Huq.
“An ethical decision has been made,” the minister said. “Now we will issue it in a gazette.”
He did not comment further on the matter.

Liberation War Affairs Ministry has decided, in principle, to strip the state gallantry awards of four convicted killers of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The decision was made at a meeting of Jatiya Muktijoddha Council on Tuesday and the ministry will issue a gazette in this regard within a couple of days.
