Final list of 6,988 FFs published in second phase

DHAKA, May 09, 2021 (BSS) – The Ministry of Liberation War Affairs has published the final list (second part) of the names of the heroic freedom fighters.
The names of 6,988 heroic freedom fighters of 8 divisions have been published in it, a press release said.
The list is available on the website of the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs (www.molwa.gov.bd).
The published list includes 1,942 freedom fighters from Dhaka division, 1,347 from Chattogram division, 573 from Barishal division, 770 from Khulna division, 567 from Mymensingh division, 684 from Rajshahi division, 572 from Rangpur division and 533 from Sylhet division.
The list did not include the unauthorized ‘Besamorik gazette’ of the Jatiya Muktijoddha Council (Jamuka) as the unauthorized gazette of Jamuka will be published later after regularization.

Some Supreme Court lawyers and rights organisations have initiated legal battles in order to protect historic places at Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital and its original and natural beauty.

As the government gives priority to saving trees, no tree will be felled unnecessarily while implementing the mega plan at the historic Suhrawardy Udyan. For that reason, the government will start planting trees in the coming monsoon and at least 1000 trees will be planted, said the project director of Shawdhinata Stambha (independence monument) construction project (Third Phase) at the Suhrawardy Udyan M Habibul Islam.
