HANOI (Vietnam News/ANN): As the number of Covid-19 cases has surged since the fourth wave hit the country in late April, the need for chemical products like oxygen and disinfectants have increased, requiring chemical producers to ramp up production to meet market demand.
HANOI (Vietnam News/ANN): A total of 61 new Covid-19 cases were detected on Thursday (June 10) evening, 59 local and two imported cases, according to the Ministry of Health.

HO CHI MINH CITY (Vietnam News/ANN): Thanks to the preferential tariffs under the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement, footwear exports to the bloc’s 27 member countries increased by 19.2 per cent year-on-year in the first quarter of 2021.
Overall exports, mainly of aquatic products, textile-garment, footwear, and farm produce, were worth nearly US$4.8 billion.
The importing markets were mostly countries with ports and distribution and transhipment centres such as Belgium, Germany, Netherlands, and France.
The EVFTA, which took effect in August last year, has opened up great export opportunities to a market with a GDP of $15 trillion for Vietnamese companies.

DANANG (Vietnam News/ANN): Restaurants, coffee shops, street vendors and beaches reopened Wednesday morning in Danang as the Covid-19 pandemic is well under control in the central city.
The municipal People’s Committee said all staff and owners of restaurants and hairdressers’ have to receive coronavirus tests before reopening.
It said only half of the seats and dining rooms at restaurants are allowed to be used, and they must close before 9pm each day.
Health declarations from diners are required, as are pandemic strict preventive measures all the time.

HANOI (Vietnam News/ANN): The Ministry of Health reported 407 new cases of Covid-19 on Wednesday (June 9), including 26 imported cases who were immediately quarantined on arrival.
A total of 381 domestic cases were reported, of which 370 were discovered in quarantined or locked down areas.
The new community cases included 296 in Bắc Giang Province, 40 in HCM City, 35 in Bắc Ninh Province, five in Hanoi, three in Hà Tĩnh Province, one in Lạng Sơn Province and one in the Hanoi-based K Hospital’s Tân Triều branch.
