A 17-year-old boy who state police said was hurt this month in a shooting at a Hempfield apartment building was arrested Friday on robbery charges stemming from the same incident.
Thomas Henderson of Carmichaels is charged as an adult with robbery, theft and weapons violations.
Troopers were called to Hempfield Heights Apartment Complex April 6 just before 4 p.m. and found Henderson lying on the ground of the parking lot with a gunshot wound to the shoulder. He was taken to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital for treatment.

A Washington County man jailed on charges of fleeing a January traffic stop is facing additional charges in connection with a slow-speed pursuit in Monessen last week, according to court dockets.
Denzell Darshai Johnson, 23, of Donora, was jailed last week on multiple criminal charges related to a Jan. 26 incident in West Brownsville where troopers say he fled an attempted traffic stop. Authorities charged him in connection with the Monessen incident after he was jailed. In the Monessen case, they say he was driving a damaged Mercedes and fled a traffic stop in the city about 3 a.m. April 12.

A woman incarcerated at the Westmoreland County Prison is accused by police of biting a female guard and grabbing the officer’s breasts, according to court papers.
Patricia D. Proctor, 27, of Mt. Pleasant Township, is charged with aggravated assault, aggravated harassment by a prisoner and simple assault.
County detectives said Proctor was on K Unit April 2 when a nurse and the guard checked on her. When the guard tried to move Proctor back into her cell, investigators said Proctor attempted to bite the guard’s neck and instead bit her upper arm. The guard pinned Proctor against a wall and Proctor grabbed the guard’s breasts, according to court papers. The nurse told detectives Proctor refused to go back in her cell and resisted the guard.

A Fayette County woman is being held in the Westmoreland County Prison after being charged with stealing a Monessen police cruiser and crashing it into a tree early Monday, according to court records.
Jamya Dee Avona Leonard, 19, of Uniontown, was charged with receiving stolen property, reckless endangerment, resisting arrest and theft by police after, police say, she admitted stealing the cruiser about 3:30 a.m.
Police from multiple departments first apprehended Leonard after she was involved in a prior slow-speed pursuit of another vehicle that was reported operating only on three tires and a rim, police said.
