CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The husband and son-in-law of the people killed in a January double shooting in the 500 block of Westwood Drive in the Sango area has been charged with two counts of criminal homicide.
Detectives with the Clarksville Police Department’s Special Operations Homicide Unit have arrested 31-year-old Matthew Konen in the shooting death of his wife, 30-year-old Rachel Konen and her father, 62-year-old David Rodgers.
The incident happened around 6:40 p.m. on Jan. 20, and was believed to be an isolated incident.
The information from Detective Michael Patterson during the initial investigation revealed that this was not a murder-suicide, but until now, the circumstances of their deaths had not been known.
Police believe Mr Tuivasa, known to his friends and family as âSioâ, may have been the victim of a case of mistaken identity in a community dispute or a feud between bikie gangs when he was shot earlier this year.
Mr Tuivasa, from Deer Park, was standing outside the All Star Lounge on Westwood Drive with a group of people when a Toyota Hilux SR5 ute pulled up just before midnight on February 27, according to investigators.
One of the two people in the ute called out to the group in Tongan to get their attention before pulling out a gun and firing four rounds from the passenger-side window, hitting Mr Tuivasa and another 24-year-old man from Endeavour Hills, police said.

CCTV released as Ravenhall homicide investigation continues
Homicide Squad detectives have released images and CCTV of a vehicle as part of their ongoing investigation into a fatal drive-by shooting outside a Ravenhall pool hall earlier this year.
Investigators have been told 33-year-old Ikenasio Tuivasa, known to friends and family as ‘Sio’, was standing outside the Westwood Drive pool hall with a group of associates when a Toyota Hilux SR5 ute approached and stopped on the roadway just before midnight on 27 February.
It’s believed a passenger in the vehicle called out towards the group, gaining their attention, before producing a firearm and firing a number of shots.
