The Hays County Local Health Department reports two new COVID-19 related fatalities July 28, a Buda woman in her 60s and an 18-year-old San Marcos woman. There have been a total of 268 fatalities in the county.
The county also reported 256 new lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 54 recoveries, bringing the total number of cases in the county to 20,312, total active cases to 915 and recoveries to 19,129. The county reports the total active cases in the past 21 days is 1,128.
San Marcos, Kyle and Buda have 226, 291Â and 220 active cases, respectively.
According to Epidemiologist Eric Schneider, the total number of received negative tests in the county is now 190,400. The total number of hospitalizations is 973 and total current hospitalizations is 29 after five people were hospitalized and seven were discharged.
Hays County’s active COVID-19 case count has now quadrupled since the beginning of July.
The Hays County Local Health Department recorded 260 new lab-confirmed COVID-19 cases, 110 recoveries, 31 hospitalizations and four hospital discharges on Monday, which included information from July 24-26.
The county considers 715 cases active 150 more than Friday. Hays County’s active case count has risen from 177 on July 2 to the 715 tallied on Monday. There have been 20,056 total cases since the first diagnosis of the virus within its boundaries on March 14, 2020. Hays County has tallied 715 COVID-19 cases over the past 21 days. A Kyle man in his 30s recently died of COVID-19, raising Hays County s coronavirus-related death toll to 266.
Hays County continues to see an increase in COVID-19 cases. The active case count has more than tripled since the beginning of the month from 177 on July 2 to 565 as of Friday.
The Hays County Local Health Department recorded an additional 121 lab-confirmed COVID-19 cases, 46 recoveries, six hospital discharges and two hospitalizations on Friday, which included information from July 22-23.
The county considers 565 cases active 74 more than Wednesday. There have been 19,796 total cases since the first diagnosis of the virus within its boundaries on March 14, 2020. Hays County has tallied 678 COVID-19 cases over the past 21 days. There have been 2,224 probable cases spanning from April 2020 through July 23, 2021.

A Kyle man in his 60s recently died of COVID-19, the Hays County Local Health Department reported Wednesday.
Hays County has now seen 265 coronavirus-related fatalities since the onset of the pandemic.
Additionally, the county continues to see a rise in active COVID-19 cases as its current count increased by nearly 100 between Monday and Wednesday.
The local health department recorded 132 new lab-confirmed COVID-19 cases, 35 recoveries, four hospital discharges and three hospitalizations on Wednesday, which included information from July 20-21.
The county considers 491 cases active 91 more than Monday. Hays County saw its lowest active count this year at 125 during its June 8-9 report. Hays County continues to see an uptick in active COVID-19 cases with the count nearly reaching 400 as of Monday.
The Hays County Local Health Department tallied 73 new lab-confirmed cases, 20 additional recoveries, seven hospitalizations and two hospital discharges on Monday, which included information from July 17-19.
The county considers 395 active cases 53 more than Friday. Hays County saw its lowest active count this year at 125 during its June 8-9 report. There have been 19,544 total cases since the first diagnosis of the virus within its boundaries on March 14, 2020. Hays County has tallied 479 COVID-19 cases over the past 21 days. There have been 2,160 probable cases spanning from April 2020 through July 19, 2021.
