Skoda UK has appointed Kevin Rendell as its new head of sales operations.
Rendell joins Skoda following five years as head of aftersales at Volkswagen UK, and has spent almost 30 years with Volkswagen Group working across aftersales, sales, and product, with Seat, Volkswagen, Volkswagen Group Services, and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.
He replaces John French, who is becoming head of product planning for Seat and Cupra UK.
Rendell said: What a fantastic time to join Skoda. The development of the brand has been extremely impressive and with the recent launches of the Octavia and Enyaq iV, it has a strong and enviable model line-up.
Volkswagen has launched a new All-in car care package which provides owners of VWs aged three to five-year-old two services, two MOTs, a two-year warranty and two years roadside assistance.

Volkswagen has expanded the ID4 range, with a new entry-level City model eligible for the plug-in car grant (PiCG).
There are two new variants of the Volkswagen ID4 – City and Style – with both models bringing the option of ‘Pure’ and ‘Pure Performance’ battery and motor specifications. The former delivering 52 kWh and 148 PS, and the latter having 170 PS on tap, with the same 52 kWh net battery capacity setup.
When the PiCG is taken into account, the on-the-road (OTR) price for the new entry-level City car is £32,150.

French has more than 20 years’ experience with the Volkswagen Group and officially made the switch yesterday (May 4), replacing Rob Fryer who has chosen to pursue his career outside of the OEM after after seven years.
Seat and Cupra UK managing director, Richard Harrison, said: “I am delighted to welcome John to our leadership team at such an exciting time for both brands, with the Seat model range fully refreshed by the summer and Cupra flying, following the successful launch of Formentor.
