Bank robbers have taken a number of hostages at a Wells Fargo branch in St Cloud, Minnesota, according to local authorities.
Police responded to the scene at around 2pm, and three hours later authorities told the AP it was still an active situation. No one has been has been reported as harmed so far.
About 1:48 p.m., police were sent to a report of a possible robbery in progress.

ST. CLOUD, Minn. Police are responding to an active hostage situation at a Wells Fargo bank in St. Cloud.
Just after 5 p.m., St. Cloud Police Lt. Lori Ellering said the situation remains an active incident. There are an undisclosed number of bank employees being held hostage inside, Ellering said. There are no reports of injuries. The SCPD and FBI are working together on this incident and are working with SWAT resources on scene.

(KNSI) – A Holdingford man is accused of sexually abusing two girls for years.
Prosecutors have charged 48-year-old Eugene Albert Loehrer with four counts of criminal sexual conduct in the 1st degree.
Police say the abuse took place between April 1, 2017, and April 29, 2021.
According to the criminal complaint, the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office was contacted on April 29 about two girls under age 16 who stated Loehrer had been sexually abusing them.
Investigators say Loehrer also used drugs with at least one of the children.
One of the victims stated the abuse started happening daily when she was in fifth grade.

ST. CLOUD, Minn. After an hourslong standoff Thursday, a hostage situation at a Wells Fargo bank in Minnesota ended without any injuries and an arrest, authorities said. A peaceful resolution, the best outcome we could have today, said St. Cloud Police Chief Blair Anderson said at a news conference late Thursday.
Anderson described the suspect, identified as Ray Reco McNeary, as a disgruntled customer upset about a prior transaction. The branch manager called the police, Anderson said, and a short time later police received a panic alarm from the bank.

ST. CLOUD, Minn. - Charges were filed Friday against a man accused of holding five employees hostage during a standoff at a Minnesota bank that lasted more than eight hours.
Ray R. McNeary, 35, was charged with first-degree aggravated robbery, five counts of kidnapping and assault in Stearns County District Court, the Star Tribune reported. Judge Nathaniel Welte rescheduled his bail hearing from Friday to Monday after McNeary was âunco-operative and refused to appear for court,â the Stearns County Attorney s Office said. He will be held over the weekend.
