STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. After a weekend of hours-long wait times, line conditions at two of Staten Island’s coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine hubs seemed to have improved Monday, but problems remained.
Most of the people who spoke with the Advance/SILive.com outside the sites at Port Richmond High School and Staten Island Technical High School said their biggest challenges came navigating the online application process.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. High school graduation rates across the state continue to rise, including at Staten Island public and charter high schools, according to data released Wednesday by the New York State Education Department (NYSED).
Data showed 84% of Staten Island’s 4,833 cohort graduated in June and August last year a 1.3% increase from last year’s 82.7%.
