JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Police Department and Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office had their plates full with the Runnin O’ The Green in Jamestown on April 17th.
Jamestown Police Major Justin Blinsky reports the department responded to a total of 69 calls in a 12 hour time-span between the hours of 2 PM to 2 AM Sunday.
“Some of the calls for service were directly related to the event and some were not,” Major Blinsky added.

There were few issues for law enforcement during Saturday’s Runnin O’ the Green, said Lt. Robert Opp, shift commander at the Jamestown Police Department Sunday.
“Comparing it with runs in the past I thought it went very smoothly,” he said. “We didn’t have a whole lot of problems. People were pretty much following the rules that have been set down for the Run.”

BUCHANAN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A Grand Forks man was injured after falling asleep behind the wheel and rolling a semi Sunday morning in Stutsman County.
The incident happened 1 mile north of Buchanan at around 5 AM April 18th.
North Dakota Highway Patrol Sgt. Ben Kennelly reports a 2022 Volvo was traveling southbound on Highway 52 with a load of dairy milk when he fell asleep and left the roadway entering the west ditch.
The vehicle then rolled and came to rest on its passenger side. 27 year-old Dakota Hatch was transported by ambulance to the Jamestown Regional Medical Center for injuries sustained in the crash. He was charged with care required.
