Just a couple of weeks ago, Spotify and Facebook introduced a way to play music from within the Facebook app, and today, the music streaming service has announced a handful of improvements for social sharing in its own app.
One of the more noteworthy additions is the ability to share podcasts with a timestamp, which, as you d expect, means that whoever opens the link will be taken right to that specific point in the show. With podcasts being generally long-form entertainment, the ability to share a specific section of an episode makes sense, so users can bring attention to a specific topic or comment on the show.

John Lennonâs son
Sean Ono Lennon has created a new series of animations inspired by the songs on his late dadâs recently reissued 1970 debut solo album,
John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band.
Sean used the Spotify Canvas medium to create the series of animated loops, collectively titled âI Am the Egbert,â which you can view using the Spotify app on mobile devices.
The animations were designed to accompany the
Plastic Ono Band albumâs 11 tracks and the three singles John released prior to the record â âGive Peace a Chance,â âCold Turkeyâ and âInstant Karma! (We All Shine On).â The series follows a character named Egbert, whose experiences follow closely the themes and sentiments John expressed in the aforementioned 14 songs.
