A National Assembly deputy s statement that having three bachelor’s degrees but remaining unemployed is a reality in Vietnam has stirred controversy.
National Assembly deputy Bui Sy Loi made the statement when talking about vocational education and career guidance for students.
He said the education sector needs to improve student classification after high school. Only 30 percent of students should go to university after fulfilling general education levels, while the other 70 percent should go to vocational school.
Most high school graduates in Vietnam want to continue studying at university, which is believed to be a waste of the society’s resources.

Experts have suggested imposing high taxes on vehicles and encouraging the use of electric cars.
At a seminar on urban transport’s impact on the environment held several days ago, Yann Maublanc from Espelia said that, after electric car usage kicked off, nitrogen oxide emissions in the populous Île-de-France decreased by 37 percent in 2005-2015, while emissions from transport decreased by 32 percent. The volume of fine dust, which caused 50,000 deaths a year, also fell by 36 percent.

Many of them would like to ask him a question: why?
It is natural to raise the question, in fact.
Vien, a millennial, quit when he had a decent job with a monthly salary of around US$2,500, which would be a dream to many other people in Vietnam.
