Harrisburg Area Community College faculty members on Saturday rallied in favor of forming a union, saying their main goal is a greater say in decisions that impact the education and experiences of students.
Several dozen gathered and held signs along Cameron Street near HACC’s main campus in Harrisburg on Saturday afternoon. Others planned to rally near HACC’s Lancaster campus.
A major issue driving the effort, they said, involves what they called a lack of say in decisions impacting their work and ability to serve students. They said HACC long followed a “shared governance” model that gave faculty a strong voice in decisions.

Soulliard, one of the most upbeat activists you’ll ever run across, chooses to direct his positive energy towards the betterment of his hometown. While some people talk Lebanon down, Soulliard lifts it up with actions.
Through his Facebook-hosted local initiative We Are Lebanon, PA, Soullliard has produced a handful of positive media projects to promote and publicize Lebanon. While his latest effort is both a culmination and product of his prior projects, it features the power of ‘3’ and the simple interaction of words and pictures, but it is dripping with Soulliard’s positivity.
