The local health unit reported two new cases of COVID-19 and three more recoveries in the County of Haliburton over the weekend.
The county now stands at five active cases with the outbreak declared April 23rd at Summersweet officially resolved.
Over the last week, the Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge District Health Unit administered another 4,075 vaccine doses throughout its region.
As of this afternoon, over 50 percent of residents in our County have received at least one shot of a vaccine.

The local health unit added one new case of COVID-19 and four recoveries in Haliburton over the last three days.
The county now stands at six active cases with two more locals screening positive for a variant of concern. Even though the variants of concern have been counted in the data today it takes two weeks for the results to return from the lab and these cases have already been counted in previous daily case counts.
15 new cases were recorded by the health unit throughout the rest of our district since Thursday, 14 in Kawartha Lakes and one in Northumberland.

Four new cases of COVID-19 and no recoveries were reported in Haliburton today(Thursday) pushing the county to nine active cases.
The health unit reported 19 new cases throughout the rest of the district on Thursday, ten in Kawartha Lakes and nine in Northumberland.
The health unit also declared a congregate setting outbreak at the Transition House in Northumberland overnight.
The last 24 hours saw the Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge District Health Unit doing over 600 tests for COVID-19 district-wide.
