$1,000 payment for those returning to work in Connecticut 09 Jun 2021, 22:04 GMT+10 HARTFORD, Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont has introduced a program in which Connecticut residents who return to work, and remain employed for eight weeks, will receive a payment of $1,000. Connecticut is hoping to use the program to encourage unemployed residents to return to work. As with all states, Connecticut faces a serious problem of businesses being unable to hire the people required to operate their businesses. However, there is only enough money for the first 10,000 qualified people. Funding for the bonuses will come from the CARES Act, which was approved by Congress last year.
