There are grants worth up to $1,650 for Michiganders who were laid off during the recent shutdown due to COVID-19. According to MLive, if you want to see if you qualify for the grant, you will need to get your application in starting Friday, January 15. You will have until 5 p.m. January 25 to have your application in. Here is a link to the application. Applicants will be notified by February 26. Don't be afraid to apply because there's enough money available to help over 25,000 Michigan workers. Here are a list of industries that qualify for these grants: Bars, Banquet Halls, Bowling Centers, Cafeterias, Casinos, Caterers, Food Trucks, Golf Courses, Hotels (also Motels, Bed & Breakfasts & Resorts), Nightclubs, Restaurants, Theaters and other Recreational Facilities.
