View Comments Two people died and one other was injured following a multi-vehicle crash on Loop 202 in Chandler Monday evening, according to state troopers. Three vehicles collided just before 6 p.m. in the westbound lanes of Loop 202 near Alma School Road. The cause of the collision is still under investigation. The Arizona Department of Public Safety confirmed one person died as a result of the crash. Two others were injured and transported to a local hospital, but their condition was not immediately known. One of those injured people later died at the hospital. All westbound lanes are blocked and traffic is being diverted to Arizona Avenue, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation. There is no estimated time for the freeway to reopen.
