After more than a year of complaints from Kentuckians about an unresponsive unemployment office, the Labor Cabinet is reopening its regional offices for in-person assistance. Gov. Andy Beshear and Labor Cabinet Secretary Larry L. Roberts announced Tuesday in-person unemployment insurance services will open April 15 at 13 Kentucky Career Centers across the state after being closed for more than three years. Kentuckians can begin scheduling appointments starting at 1 p.m. Tuesday at kcc.ky.gov/. Openings will be available for appointments April 15-30, according to a news release. Appointments for May 3 will become available April 19, after which additional time slots will open each day.
