Two men accused of fatally shooting a Rochester man at a Rochester gas station in February have been charged with murder.
Isaac Washington, 23, and Sloan McDowell, 21, were each charged with second-degree murder and second-degree robbery this week, in connection with the shooting death of Jasun Beckford, 20, sa Rochester Police Lt. Michael Perkowski.
According to a news release from the Rochester Police Department, Beckford was shot in the chest during a robbery while entering a gas station on South Clinton Avenue, near Meigs Street, on Feb. 14. Beckford was hospitalized and died from his injuries five days later, on Feb. 19.
Washington, who is currently on probation for 2016 second-degree robbery conviction, and McDowell were taken into custody at separate locations on Tuesday.
