2020 challenges reveal silver linings for CASA of Tulare County Alberto Ramos View Comments The effects of COVID-19 on Court Appointed Special Advocates of Tulare County have been dramatic and deeply felt, as they were for all organizations in Tulare County. As the director of a nonprofit organization that supports neglected and abused youth who are in the foster-care system in our communities, I can tell you that the pandemic has caused us to view our mission with fresh eyes and discover new ways to fulfill our goal of “changing a child’s story” through advocacy. It was a challenge to navigate 2020, but there have been some surprising and positive outcomes that I would like to share with you.
