Investigators with the Schuyler County Sheriff’s office say they are investigating a fatal car vs. pedestrian crash that left a 6-year-old dead. On Saturday around 6:05 p.m. deputies responded to the crash, which occurred on State Route 414 in the town of Hector. Deputies said in a release that Sidnee Turner, 57, of Painted Post was southbound on Route 414 when she was unable to stop for a 6-year-old child who ran into the roadway.
