A church's case against 'hostile intolerance' Wednesday, May 19, 2021 | Steve Jordahl (OneNewsNow.com) Spanish A federal judge in Oregon has refused for the second time to throw out a case against a church that wants to build a parsonage for its pastor and his family. The congregation of Coles Valley Church in the small farming town of Umpqua, Oregon thinks their pastor should live in the same community as the people he is serving. So with the nearest housing in the area being 10 miles away, the church decided to build out a couple of existing rooms in their building to be used as a parsonage. But the owners of an adjacent vineyard did not want that and convinced the local Land Use Board of Appeals to sue the church.
