As a judge, there was plenty Dennis Fenwick couldn’t fix.
Day after day, a rotating group of people appeared before him, many faces and many problems the same. Addictions, poverty, past and present traumas — some help could be placed in front of people, but in many cases, the revolving door continued to turn.
At times, it likely seemed a hopeless — and often thankless — task.
