SEVIERVILLE â Sevier Countyâs total active cases of COVID-19 have fallen below 200 for the first time in months. When the Tennessee Department of Health last reported the totals Thursday, there were 230 active cases among residents of Sevier County. On Monday, the state reported that total was down to 195. The state reported no new hospitalizations or deaths related to the virus among Sevier County residents over that time. There were 47 positive results reported over that four-day span out of 438 tests, for a positivity rate of 10.7%. Those numbers come as Sevier County Mayor Larry Waters appears prepared to let the countywide mask mandate end next week on April 15.
