Stellenbosch FC defender Alan JJ Robertson is the latest 'brainy baller' after he officially graduated with a BCom degree while still enjoying a successful playing career. Robertson becomes one of several PSL stars to obtain an academic qualification in recent times, joining the likes of Kaizer Chiefs duo Brylon Peterson and Bernard Parker who completed their studies in 2020. The 27-year-old centre-back, who has played every minute of every game prior to being suspended for Stellies' 2-1 DStv Premiership victory over Cape Town City at the weekend, also joins other stars such as Percy Tau, Tefu Mashamaite, Siboniso Gaxa, and ex-teammate Tshireletso Motsogi.
