In her press conference, this plan will happen as long as the state’s vaccine dose allocation from the federal government increases as expected. Reynolds also said during her press conference that during a recent Governor's call with the White House, federal vaccine allocations are expected to increase significantly by the week of March 29 to 20 million dose nationwide. That increase could include 4 to 6 million doses of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine. Reynolds did not explain during the press conference how many would be allocated to the state of Iowa, but clearly expects enough to allow all Iowans to be eligible come April 5.
